Our Story

Built for builders, roofers and distributors.

RIDGELOCK PRO was founded to solve a simple problem: roofing contractors and building-material distributors need a reliable source of underlayment and waterproofing products without paying trading-company markups or waiting on uncertain lead times.

Over the past decade we have built a vertically integrated production operation covering lamination, printing, slitting and packing. Today we ship to distributors, contractors and private-label brands across North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

Our focus is on four categories: synthetic roofing underlayment, ice & water shield, house wrap and radiant barrier. Every product is manufactured to recognized ASTM standards and can be customized for weight, roll size and printed branding.

Manufacturing

From raw material to pallet — under one roof.

RIDGELOCK PRO runs a vertically integrated operation. Lamination, coating, printing, slitting and packing are all handled in-house, which is what lets us hold a specification steady across repeat orders instead of re-sourcing every container.

Raw material intake

Woven and non-woven fabric, functional films, release liners and modified bitumen compound arrive as lot-controlled inputs. Each lot is sampled for weight, thickness and visible defects before it is released to the line.

Extrusion lamination

The facer, reinforcement and functional film are bonded into a single sheet. Coating weight, nip temperature and line speed are monitored continuously because they drive the tensile and tear numbers on the finished roll.

Adhesive coating

For self-adhered ice & water shield, the modified bitumen compound is coated to a controlled thickness and paired with a release film. Bond consistency at this stage is what determines cold-weather adhesion on the roof.

Printing & branding

Flexographic printing applies private-label logos, overlap lines, nailing guides and safety markings. Print registration is checked against the lap marks so the guides stay aligned with the fastening pattern.

Slitting & rewinding

Jumbo rolls are slit to finished width and rewound to the specified length with controlled roll hardness and edge alignment — the two things that decide whether a roll unwinds cleanly on a jobsite or telescopes in transit.

Packing & palletizing

Rolls are film-wrapped, labelled, boxed or stacked on heat-treated pallets, then stretch-wrapped and strapped for container loading. Pallet height and layout can be built to your warehouse or racking specification.

Quality Control

Three checkpoints before a roll is shipped.

Quality is not a final inspection — it is staged through the whole run. Batch records are kept so any shipment can be traced back to its production date, line and material lots.

Test reports are issued per order and travel with the shipping documents. If your market requires third-party testing or a specific standard, raise it at quotation stage so the test plan is agreed before production starts.

Private Label & OEM

Your brand, our production line.

Most of our distributor partners do not sell "a generic underlayment". They sell a house brand with a spec they control. These are the variables we can set for you.

Roll width

Standard 48 in × 250 ft rolls — 1,000 sq ft (10 squares) per roll — plus custom widths slit to your market's framing module.

Roll length

Length per roll set to the coverage your crews expect, so estimating tables stay accurate across your catalogue.

Grammage & thickness

Weight and build selected against the duty: standard duty, heavy duty, or high-temperature / high-wind assemblies.

Core & packaging

Core size, roll wrap, printed sleeve or plain, boxed or bulk-stacked — built to how your warehouse actually handles stock.

Printed branding

Your logo, lap and nailing guides, contact line and safety wording printed in line during production.

Labels & documents

Barcode, pallet and carton labels, plus documentation formatted to your import requirements.

The minimum order is one pallet — 56 rolls (56,000 sq ft) — on any specification, for both factory-direct and US warehouse shipments. Send us your target roll spec and we will confirm what is achievable on that item.

Export & Logistics

Container to warehouse, paperwork included.

Roofing material is bulky and freight-sensitive. Getting the loading and the documents right is worth as much as getting the price right.

Incoterms — EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF quoted, so your landed cost comparison is apples to apples.
FCL and LCL — full container loads for stocking programmes, consolidation for trial and mixed-container orders.
Palletization to your spec — pallet size, stack height, wrapping and labelling built to your warehouse or racking constraints.
Document set — commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, bill of lading and per-order test reports.
US & EU warehouse stock — selected lines held closer to your customer for shorter replenishment cycles.
Samples by courier — sample rolls shipped ahead of bulk orders so your team can handle the product before committing.

Factory audits and third-party inspections are welcome by appointment. We would rather you verify the operation than take a brochure at face value.

Working With Us

Questions buyers ask before the first order.

Can we get samples before placing a bulk order?

Yes. Sample rolls ship by courier so your team can handle the product, check the print and run it on a test deck before you commit. Tell us which series and grammage you want to evaluate and we will arrange the shipment.

Can you print our own brand on the roll?

Yes — private-label printing is a standard part of the programme. Your logo, lap and nailing guides, contact line and safety wording can all be printed in line during production. Print plates and minimum quantities are confirmed per item.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Do you supply test reports with each shipment?

Both are welcome by appointment. Let us know the scope — checklist, standard or customer requirement — and we will have the relevant batch records and production staff available on the day. Remote video walk-throughs can also be arranged.
